Adult Pet Care
AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION ....
In adult dogs and cats, regular veterinary examinations and consultations with our Vets are important as a part of a comprehensive health care approach.
Our goal (and yours) is to keep our pet patients healthy and happy for as long as we can. It is much safer and cost-effective to prevent disease than to treat it. Every year during these wellness exams, we detect many disease processes in apparently ‘normal' adult animals. The result of this early detection is that we are able to address problems in the early stages. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatments can result in your companion living a longer healthier life.

- Immunity and Parasite Prevention: With your Vet, you can develop a vaccination and parasite prevention schedule that addresses the infectious diseases your pet faces. As each pet lives a different life, we prefer to tailor our vaccine, deworming and flea/tick prevention strategies to each pet's specific needs.
- Diagnostic Testing and Early Detection: We provide diagnostic and wellness services for your adult pet including but not limited to: blood testing, fecal testing, and urine testing. Your own yearly check up at your "people doctor" is likely to include these tests and so should your pet's yearly examination.
- Nutritional Assessment and Recommendation: At the Wellness Visit, please be sure to bring questions about your pet's diet. Food is the only health care treatment that we provide to our furry family members every day of their lives. Work with us to ensure that your pet's nutrition is optimal for their lifestyle.
