Welcome to the Ajax Animal Hospital Pet Adoption Page
"PETS HELPING PEOPLE"
From time to time we have kittens and cats brought to us that are in need of a good home and we're happy to help find them one.
Our adoptees will go through a 'vetting' process to ensure that they are healthy and happy before they leave us. Initially they are placed in quarantine for observation and are tested for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Viruses (FIV), parasites and fleas and are treated as required. They also receive a thorough examination by one of our veterinarians and receive their first vaccination (FVRCP). When they are ready to meet the public they are kept in our waiting room, looking for that someone special with whom to spend the rest of their life.
We are 'picky' about who gets to adopt one of our Ajax kittens and insist on a committment to their continuing care and love.
We do charge a nominal adoption fee of $95.00 and considering the 'vetting' process they undergo the fee is truly nominal.
We then contribute 100% of that fee to a local charity. This year, the funds from our "Pets Helping People" program will be donated to The Children's Wish Foundation.
Talk about a 'Win-Win-Win' situation!
