Dr. Amin Sabzevari DVM

Amin was born and raised in Iran where he obtained his DVM degree in 2010 from Azad University, Iran. During his education Amin was working at an industrial dairy farm as well as at a pet clinic.  This experience gave him insight in to the life of a Veterinarian. He very enthusiastically took part in several clinical research projects on different species which not only led him to publish several articles in peer-reviewed journals, but helped to gain further experience in those specialty areas. Amin moved to Canada in 2011 and his diverse background and knowledge base allowed him to begin working as a research assistant with laboratory animals at Toronto General Hospital.

To fine tune his surgical skills, Amin travelled to India for three months volunteering at the International Humane Society. He then completed the VSTEP (Veterinary Skills Enhancement Program) at Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. In 2015 he moved to Lethbridge Alberta and started working in a state of the art facility, ‘Family Pet Hospital & 24 Hr Pet Emergency Centre’ until 2018.  This exposure to emergency medicine helped grow his career by working with advanced diagnostics and therapeutic tools. In 2018 he decided to return to Richmond Hill and spend more time with family and work full time at the local after hour emergency hospital clinic.

Whenever not working at Ajax Animal Hospital he works in emergency clinic to stay up to date with emergency and critical conditions.

In his spare time, Amin enjoys adventurous trips, jogging, watching movies and spending time with friends and family.
