Nutrition Counselling

Helping you choose the best foods for your pet's dietary needs.

Your pet's diet is very different from those of humans and it can be hard to determine what types of food are best for them. It's easy to choose diets that your pet enjoys but it's still important that their food nourishes their body. Our veterinarians are experts in pet nutrition and can create unique diets for each patient and make recommendations that are in their best interest.

Why is nutrition counselling important?

This consultation is necessary to fully examine your pet's diet. Many health issues that your pet may develop such as malnutrition, allergies, diabetes, obesity, etc., are all connected to their diet. By having annual nutrition checkups, our team can decide what foods your pet should be consuming to help prevent or manage those health problems. Another reason why this visit is important is we can help pet owner's decipher food labels and have an open conversation about their pet's eating habits, portion control and feeding  schedule.
